Returning To The Ski Slopes After Covid? Here’s All You Need To Know

Have you missed the thrill of the pistes? Well, here at El Lodge – we’ve missed you too, but we’re opening our doors and can’t wait to see you back.

Ski resorts are back up and running – with a few changes

Naturally, our number one focus is the health and safety of our guests and staff alike, so reopening to the public isn’t a move we’ve taken lightly here at El Lodge. It’s almost been two years since the pandemic caused ski resorts across Europe to close their doors, but we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to ensure that when this time came, we had everything in place to give you a true El Lodge experience, without compromising on safety.

So, what’s changed?

If you’ve ever holidayed with us before, you’ll be glad to hear that the food and spa facilities we’re renowned for are very much still on offer. So too are our magnificent pistes, offering over 106km of ski area, with 124 pistes ranging from beginner to intermediate.

There are a few new things in place though, to ensure your comfort and safety throughout your stay. Visitors can now expect to:

• Wear facemasks in all indoor and outdoor spaces of the resort
• Adhere to a minimum social distancing amount of 1.5 meters
• Pay with contactless wherever possible (although we are still accepting cash)
• Make use of the free, on-site cleaning facilities to maintain high levels of cleanliness

To ensure we’re able to safely offer our normal services, we are also working to a reduced capacity of 50% in our spa, so we strongly advise you to pre-book if you’d like to treat yourself during your stay.

If you’d prefer to eat in the comfort of your own room, all restaurant meals will be available as room service during the restaurant opening hours. Our staff will also adhere to social distancing rules at all times, as well as always wearing face masks or shields themselves.

We also have an on-site Doctor available at any time, 24 hours a day. This is for both staff and our guests, so you have that instant support if you start to feel unwell.
